Let the journey begin

What if there was a way to absolutely love learning how to play the piano - a method that was exciting, fun, and joyful - from day one? A method where every student, young and old, starts off playing the piano?
There is a way...
Simply Music is a non-traditional method of learning to play the piano that offers a breakthrough in music education. This remarkable approach has students of all ages playing great-sounding contemporary, classical, blues, and accompaniment pieces – immediately – from their first lessons.
Traditional lessons
Reading-based programs, for the most part, require students to first learn to read music as the means of learning how to play the piano. This ‘read first, play later’ approach is slow and frustrating, and far too many students never acquire the ability to play. In fact, many lose their desire to learn altogether. Furthermore, most of those students leave saying “I am not musical” and never consider that it might have been the method. Asking piano students to “read first, then play” is like asking young children to “read first, then talk”. Then comes Simply Music.
Think of Simply Music as learning our own language. We all talked for a while, building a huge repertoire of words, before we learned how to read and spell. It's the same with the Simply Music program. We delay the music reading process, temporarily, and start by showing you how to play fantastic music – immediately.
Beginner piano students, with no attention on having to read music, are free to relate directly to the piano. Within months, students easily and naturally begin to establish a ‘hands-on’ and personal ‘feeling’ for the instrument as they build a playlist that includes contemporary, classical, blues and jazz styles, as well as develop the ability to play chords and modern accompaniments. When my beginning piano students visit friends’ houses, they don’t play scales and songs about ponies, but real music like Für Elise, Ode To Joy, great-sounding blues pieces, etc.
Ultimately, many students and parents have encountered the real cost of other types of piano lessons that resulted in the student leaving after years of lessons. Many of these students leave saying, “I stopped going to piano lessons when my parents stopped forcing me to go,” or “I am not musical.” Maybe, even worse, having the experience of their music teacher saying “You’re not musical.” Most of these students never stop to consider that it had more to do with the method than their ability.
Simply Music is founded on the premise that everyone, without exception, is musical. Everyone! That isn’t because it sounds good but because it is absolutely true. Not everyone believes that statement and it makes overcoming that belief especially difficult if the teacher doesn’t believe it either. At Musical Bones Studio, we (students and the teacher) not only say it, we believe it. I can prove it in just two minutes. It doesn’t matter if you are an adult piano student or a child piano student, Musical Bones Studio is a place where everyone plays.
Contact me to learn what steps you can take to become part of my studio. Adult piano lessons and kid piano lessons are available in private and group piano lessons. It doesn’t matter if you have an acoustic piano or a keyboard, lessons are the same. If you are one of the people described below, then these piano lessons are for you.
If you are someone who has always wanted to learn how to play the piano but thought it was too late to start lessons,
or
you have a child you wouldn’t possibly feel right sending them down the lesson path you encountered as a child,
or
you had lessons in the past that didn’t go so well and you thought it was all about you,
or
you think you’re not musical,
or
you love the idea of playing a huge repertoire of great-sounding songs covering many genres,
then this program is for you.

“I took four years of lessons at a prestigious music program in the Cleveland area. I have developed skills in my first year with Simply Music that far exceed anything I experienced in the other program. I have been very impressed with the quality of music I am learning at Musical Bones Studio.”
